node release
Reserved built-in task IDs, public task-action route
A new node release went live at 19:59 UTC. The built-in system task IDs are now reserved: only the project's owner key can register them. After this release the public route for signed task actions, POST /api/v1/tasks/actions/submit-signed, was opened.
A new 7-day mining canary window also started on this date. The next change is expected around 22 October 2026.
What to do: nothing for wallet users and miners. Developers who submit task actions must sign them with ML-DSA and cannot register the reserved built-in task IDs.

block 833,800
Relay-only paid edge tasks
Paid Edge Pool tasks (CPU, GPU and RAM workers) now settle only through an authorized settlement relay. Settlements sent any other way are refused by consensus.
What to do: nothing. Paid resource work is in an operator-only test and is not yet open to other miners.
-
block 827,000
Signed consensus
Every consensus vote and message must now carry a valid ML-DSA signature. Unsigned consensus traffic is refused. The network still has a single block producer; independent validators are the next step.
What to do: nothing. Wallets, miners and Hive are not affected.
-
block 816,600
Proof-of-Entanglement enforced; Hive 1.4.22
Every CELL transfer must now name committed parent cells (earlier transfers already on the chain). A transfer without them is refused with HTTP 422. The public API started refusing transfers without parents at block 816,240, a short lead before consensus enforcement at block 816,600.
QSDM Hive 1.4.22 (Windows and Linux) and the web wallet fill in parents automatically from GET /api/v1/chain/parents.
What to do: send CELL with Hive 1.4.22 or the web wallet. Hive 1.4.20 cannot update itself: install 1.4.22 manually from the Download page before 19 December 2026. Your wallet and settings are kept.

- Task actions must carry a valid ML-DSA signature.
- The transaction content root rule took effect.
What to do: nothing for wallet users and miners.
Heights and live flags come from consensus_auth in GET /api/v1/status. Questions: FAQ.
